PRINCIPLE

 

The automated procedure for the determination of Sulfite result from an modified titrating with iodide-iodate. At the acidified sample containing sulfite, is added an exact aliquote of potassium iodide-iodate. The measure of the color of free iodine in excess is related to the sulfite in the sample. The colorimetric procedure is of  inverse type .

The color intensity is measured at 400 nm
